What is your day job?
Hotel manager

How did you get involved with roller derby?
Saw an article about crg in a magazine, went to a practice and the rest is history

Please explain the inspiration and story behind your derby name and number.
My name was chosen by one of my fellow teammates. In the last year, the reason behind my number has changed. Now for me its motivation. Motivation to be better and not look back.

What is your favorite (derby) position?
In the middle of a wall.

What is your skate gear of choice?
Anything that keeps my body intact.

Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
Usually eat something really unhealthy.

Please share your best derby moment (or moments).
When I received blocker of the year award. To this day I still don’t believe it

Who are your derby heroes?
Every single person on my team are my heroes. They each have their own story that makes them unique.

Do you have a motivational quote?
You never know how strong you can be until being strong is all you have left.

What goes through your brain as you lace up your skates?
Try to stay on your feet this game would ya, Ballz?

How would you describe your derby playing style?
Spastic.

What is your pre-derby sports/skating background?
Skated occasionally as a kid.

Did you play roller derby prior to joining CRG?
Not at all and wouldn’t play anywhere else. CRG is where I started and where I’ll stay.

Did your background make you a natural fit in assisting with your training?
I was so un-athletic before joining. They shaped me into who I am.

What are some of your greatest roller derby accomplishments on the track?
Getting nominated for awards by my team. Even if I don’t win them, to see that they think I deserve it is an honor.

Off the track?
Being a mom. My greatest accomplishment will always be my 3 kids.

How has your involvement in roller derby affected the way you live the rest of your life?
I’m more independent. I’m more outspoken.

How do you find a balance between your derby life and your “real” life?
Have to remember that real life comes first.

Where would you like to see roller derby in another 10 years?
Have more women involved in this great sport.

Any advice for girls who want to join roller derby?
Just do it. You will learn things about yourself and you will grow as an individual.

Follow your dreams. There is no dream too big.
