When did you join Cajun Rollergirls?
Feb 2010.

What is your day job?
School board secretary.

How did you get involved with roller derby?
My husband got me to go watch a game and after that I was hooked.

Please explain the inspiration and story behind your derby name and number.
I talk a whole lot. 411 is what you would call for information. It is also my wedding date.

What is your favorite (derby) position?
Love blocking on the inside.

Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
Just relax till it’s time to get ready.

Please share your best derby moment (or moments).
Just being able to play. Knowing how hard I worked to get to where I am today.

Who are your derby heroes?
I would have to say my derby heroes would have to be my team mates. A very strong and amazing group of ladies.

Do you have a motivational quote?
“If I can’t be the girl who is in first place… or second place… or fifth place… or twentieth place… I want to be the girl who keeps showing up anyway.” And, “It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”, Rocky Balboa

What goes through your brain as you lace up your skates?
OMG I can’t believe I am doing this.

Do you have a signature move?
Just hit hard enough!

How would you describe your derby playing style?
Shaky at first but the more I get to play I find my derby legs.

What is your pre-derby sports/skating background?
I was a very active kid. Played allot of baseball and volleyball.  Skated up and down the street.

Did you play roller derby prior to joining CRG?
Nope.

What are some of your greatest roller derby accomplishments on the track?
Passing all the assessments to being able to play. Just getting on the track.

Off the track?
My greatest accomplishment off the track would have to be I married the man of my dreams. I have a great job. Giving my life over to God. He allows me to have an amazing life.

How has your involvement in roller derby affected the way you live the rest of your life?
Derby has helped me get more active. Its exercise without truly exercising. It’s fun.

How do you find a balance between your derby life and your “real” life?
I have to remember to take time out for my family.

Where would you like to see roller derby in another 10 years?
On TV either on ESPN or in the Olympics.

Any advice for girls who want to join roller derby?
Just do it. Just try it you may surprise yourself.

Anyone you’d like to take the opportunity to thank?
Love to thank my husband. He is always there no matter what. He keeps me sane! He is my rock! Thanks to my parents for all their love and support. God for allowing me to live my life to the fullest.

Thank you for coming to our games and fundraisers. You guys are the bestest fans ever!
