When did you join CRG?
Summer of 2011 as a fan.

What is your day job?
If i told you, I’d have to kill you.

How did you get involved with roller derby?
My daughter invited me.

What is your skate gear of choice?
Antik boots with Powerdyne Revenge plates.

Do you have any pre-bout rituals?
Nope.

Do you have an inner theme song?
Anything heavy works for me, Pantera, Lamb of God, Hatebreed.

When we beat Acadiana.

Who are our derby heroes?
Anyone who works hard to achieve the impossible.

Do you have a motivational quote?
Als het niet kan zoals het moet, dan moet het maar zo als het kan.

What goes through your brain before the starting game whistle?
I hope the girls do their best and that they remember what I taught them.

How would you describe your coaching style?
Practice makes perfect.

What it your pre-derby sports/skating background?
None.

Did you coach prior to joining CRG?
Not that I can remember.

Did your background make you a natural fit in assisting what your coaching?
Sure.

What methods do you use to help prepare your team for a game?
Keeping cool.

Where do you find your ideas and inspiration to help assist you in your coaching?
Watching other great teams.

What are some of your greatest roller derby accomplishments by the track?
Watching the transformation of CRG.

How has your involvement in roller derby affected the way you live the rest of your life?
Derby has let my relationship with Psycho Beast (my wife) grow to a level that surpasses even my wildest imagination.  She has changed my life forever. She is my stars, my moon, and my love.

How do you find a balance between your derby life and your “real” life?
It’s a secret.

Where would you like to see roller derby in another 10 years?
From the best seat in the house. By the team bench.

Any advice for girls who want to join roller derby?
Derby is not a pastime. It’s a sport.
